Welcome to Wild Violet Wellness, the community home of yoga & Zumba® with Beth

No matter whether you’re looking to add yoga or Zumba® classes to your routine, I aim to deliver inclusive classes for busy people. Using movement through dance or yoga, each of the classes is designed to help you feel stronger and bring balance to your life, both physically and mentally.

The yoga classes are gentle and supportive, aiming to provide you with an hour of sanctuary from your busy life. Please don’t worry if you think you’re not flexible, the only flexibility required to join our classes is in your thinking, especially considering that the physical poses (also known as ‘asana’) are only one element  (one of the ‘eight limbs’) of yoga.

Joyful, energising dance fitness for all levels. Shake off the day, boost your mood and have fun while you get fit. Whether you’re a total beginner in later-life, or a youthful dancer just looking for a fun way to get your dance-fix, you’ll find a very warm welcome awaits… and before you say “but I’ve got no coordination”, coordination is a learned skill, it just takes practice 😉, and there’s no better place to do that than in the safety of the friendly class environment that you’ll find with us. 

The classes begin with initial breath-work and gentle movements to warm up the body, these are often seated, sometimes lying down. We then begin a flow of movements delivered slowly, mindfully and always with our breath. We always end our classes in the most important pose of all, savasana, the pose where we aim for total relaxation of both body and mind.

Whether you’re looking for a way to de-stress, stretch and strengthen safely, or to bring some inner calm to your life, you will find a warm welcome in our friendly community classes. 

We begin the class with a Zumba® warm-up to start our hour of dance. The music playlists always contain some familiar tracks using many basic versions of dance rhythms including Salsa, Cumbia, Reggae, and Merengue, plus a variety of other world rhythms. New tracks are introduced with steady regularity and the classes always have their favourites! 

We end our hour together with a cool-down (and inevitably, a chat!). You can grab a drink of water whenever you need it and move at your own pace, I offer options to support you as we move.
